Zachary Ryan is a Columbus, Ohio based singer, dancer, actor and musician. Since making his debut singing “Oh What a Beautiful Morning” in his second grade variety show, he was determined to engage with music and for the rest of his life. Zachary has enjoyed playing piano, saxophone, and guitar for years as a member of various Jazz and Classical ensembles and spends a large majority of his free time being a one-man band. He writes original music in addition to covering just about every song he can think of in his unique style which draws inspiration from classic folk and country musicians such as Jim Croce, John Denver, and Johnny Cash. With a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ohio Northern University (‘23), Zachary is currently traveling from state to state, working to gain regional experience and solidify his presence as a young, growing theatrical artist.
Aside from performing, Zachary is very interested in nature and will find any opportunity to sit in it, given that there is enough shade and not too many bugs. He also has a black belt in Taekwondo America which sits on his shelf should a bad-guy try to test him. His main areas of focus in performance include musical theatre comedy and improv as well as characterization and textual analysis of classical theatre works from Shakespeare to Arthur Miller.
“Zachary Ryan as Officer Barrel spins gold out of the smaller role he has been given with several sight gags that made the audience shriek with laughter. “
